A very local issue to be sure, but I wanted to get it out to other Vancouver-based boaters.
West Vancouver is considering closing the only boat ramp in the local area. There is much information available if you Google it - and I will not repeat it here - but in the main it is due to the known and acknowledged conflicts between boats/trailers and people in the roadway. My personal opinion is that West Van is taking the easy option to ban boats and trailers.
Being a local I sent a letter to West Van and also plan to attend the Council Meeting. There is an online petition at the link below and always the option available to send letters direct to West Van.
If you want to add your voice to tasking West Van to create some better options then please do. Also if appropriate please make other local boaters are aware of this plan.
