Hi Tom, Many years ago as a deck hand (1957-58 18 years old) towed seven section log rafts through on high water. The "old" man (29 years old)skipper always was as cool as a cucumber. Capt. Clyde Cowan, he started running tug size boats for Ward Cove Reduction hauling fish guts from the canneries to the reduction plant in Ward Cove at 18. Different times for sure.
