I had dual Raymarine E80 MFD's, which I had replaced with dual Axiom 9's when upgrading my electronics. I had installed years ago 3 CAM100 video camera's that where connected to the E80. Each camera has a 4 pin wire that connects to a BNC/power splitter. Two wires go to power/ground, the BNC connected to an adapter to the E80, which hosted 4 cameras.

Reading one of the Raymarine Forums, Chuck had mentioned that it is possible to use the CAM100 by using an Axis M7011 video encoder. I have put the M7011 inline between the Network on the Axiom and the BNC to the CAM100 camera. I supplied power to the CAM100 (already connected) wires that are part of the BNC/power splitter. The result was nothing happened and the power LED on the M7011 was not lite. So I am assuming that the BNC is not supplying power.

Is PoE needed to power the M7011? Anyone have some experience with converting analog to IP cameras?

Thanks!
