This isn't the old "KANER I", is it? I hear tell she was reconfigured into a liveaboard. In any case, GLWTS. I would buy her tomorrow if I was able to do so at this juncture.

Not sure about the 53 or 92 series, but I hear tell that parts for the 71 series are going to remain available through the year 2045.

Can you provide me with some info on those first three? My wife and I were going to charter that Heritage 36 this fall, but some unexpected doctor bills and a few other things put the kibosh on those plans. :(

If there was a Mainship 34 (or similar) available for charter here on the Cackalacky Coast for $1500 a week, i would charter it immediately.

Not so sure I totally agree about these boats being "un readily available". I am currently pursuing leads on THREE right now. Ironically, all are located in the Sunshine State. I have no doubt in my mind that if I buy one of them and pull it home, a nice one will turn up for sale the week...

People on the Albin Owners Forum have traveled all the way from Maine to Florida to acquire decent 25s. One guy drove from South Carolina to Minnesota to get one. Guess there's a lotta major dumbasses out there that like those boats. :rolleyes:

We have altered our plans...slightly. After some deliberation, we have decided to look for an Albin 25 on a trailer. While the coast isn't too far away (and I still dream of having a much bigger liveaboard-type boat berthed there...someday), Kerr Lake, Jordan Lake, and Falls lake are even...

Sad to hear this. The wife and I wanted to check them out around the time of next years Trawlerfest. I do hope that they can manage to keep the operation going.
