Onan 4 kw Generator Zinc My 4 kw Onan generator is located aft in the engine room & sufficient access to the heat exchanger side is not possible. i can only quess the addition of an aftermarket Sen-Dure remote unit will be the recommended fix. Any other ideas? Jim M/V Mello Moon

One of my 1988 Perkins 6.354 injector pumps is leaking at the shaft of the shut off leaver. Anyone have info on the repair?

On one of my 1988 Perkins 6.354's there is a leak at the shaft of the engine shut down leaver on the injector pump (CAV). Can anyone outline the fix for this?

Thinking of installing a high out alternator on one of my Perkins 6. 354's for better charging. Anyone have info on doing so & application? Jim

Perkins 225 I am looking at a 38' Marine Trader with a displacement of 22000 lbs with a Perkins 225 with 2880 hrs. I am interested in running at around 5 kts & hoping for 2 gph or less fuel consumption. Any opinions on my chances?

I am planning on looking at a trawler equipped with twin HINO G-393N engines. Can anyone offer advise on these motors so far as fuel useage, parts availability, dependability, etc? Thanks.
