Roger, Yes. Boat was priced fairly, buyer is intelligent and educated and a former liveaboard. It was a win win and I represented the boat honestly. Survey results later today. It is bittersweet but she's going to a great couple who will use her more than we were.

My boat is for sale in Pensacola. I think the distance to travel from south Florida to the panhandle is why I have had little action. Has nothing to do with the material condition of my boat nor some of the considerations posted on this thread. It is simply the tyranny of distance.

He has a Perkins NA 6.354. Should be a Jabsco pump. That's what I have on both of mine.

If water won't overflow the strainer container with the thru hull open then you have an issue at the supply side before it even gets to the pump. Must be an obstruction of some type. Sea grass or a Jelly?

Barnacles love it in there. Could be sea grass and mud also. I'd take the sea chest/strainer off the valve hose and open the valve you should get sea water at a good rate coming up the hose. When was it hauled last?

Then you have a blockage between your through hull opening and the valve. Marine life maybe?

Engines are self priming. With the sea chest cap off open the sea cock and let the water overflow then put the cap on. Easy.

You want the 12 blades JABSCO -| Mfg # 1210-0001-P Yes Bubbles are okay at first if you just cleaned the strainer. Tighten your sea chest cap on both side wing nuts. Pretty sure my Manicooler is #7

Did you check the impeller Spline shaft? It could need a rebuild. Mark the impeller after you install it say at the 12 o'clock position. Run the motor up and then pull the cover off to see if pump is turning. Also you should see the water in the exhaust.

Woodsea, Thanks for the kind words. My reasoning is that at the time of purchase I was planning on moving aboard because the 3000+ square foot house was simply too much. My wife can't adapt to the sea legs required and medicine isn't fixing it. Our compromise was a condo on the water and...

Date, my local repair shop couldn't repair mine. It was a waste of time. They couldn't locate the parts needed and I lost two weeks.

^^This^^ I just removed and sent and had mike rebuild mine. I did all the labor myself. It's not cheap. I needed a total rebuild. You are about to lose yours.
