    Benmar Course Setter 21 autopilot

After almost 2 years of flawless performance, this summer the autopilot only wanted to turn to port. Telephone consults with Robert Edwards, owner of Benmar, guided me thru removing the circuit boards in the power unit, sending them in for analysis, reinstalled, no joy. Next sent the pilothouse...

Using an infrared thermometer, below the thermostat, port is 170 and starboard is 152. The...

It looks like it attaches to the speed control level. When it runs the the stop solenoid pulls the lever back. A few starts back, the...

alternator 110 degrees engine stone cold

Crawling over the top of FL108 and felt the heat coming off the alternator. The engine hadn't been run for 2 days. The alternator was replaced with a remanufactured unit 6 months ago. Turned off battery charger and checked 12 hrs later 105 degrees. Any ideas on a fix other than remove/replace?

Owned 1972 Grand Banks 42 Classic 2 years. Last year had windlass motor rebuilt. The brushes had caused alot of scratching on the commutator (think thats what the contact area is called) and the motor wasn't spinning. Reinstalled and it worked well. Few months back, a change. Previously, the...
