    Mainship 400 High Water Alarm

Emergency bilge pump disconnect for mainship 430 I know this is an old thread but I had a similar problem on my 2004 Mainship 400 but it corrected itself. However I now have a 2006 MS 430 sedan ( not aft cabin) and I came back last night to the dreaded alarms and all pumps running. For anyone...

    Switch panel - what brand?

What I recall on my my MS 400 and my now MS430 is that my panels had pacer electrical stickers on the back of them. I think they made the panels for both boats but the breakers are after market...

Dog safety on a MS 400/390

After our last dogs passed 9 months apart we decided we needed “travel dogs” under 15 lbs that could fly and boat with us. We ended up with two Brussels Griffons which are great but the puppy years have been work. When outfitting our Mainship 400 our last Dogs were bigger so we just ran like...

    Bose Entertainment System

In my MS 430 I just installed a New Roku tv with Roku wireless stereo speakers. I Like it way better and sound is great. Probably add a roku sound bar then taking entire Bose system out.

Eyeing the Loop from Austin, TX

Insurance has been a huge issue for new boaters with little to no experience. We Have had people literally turned down because of no boating experience and others told they could only move up 15’ in size from a previous boat. Then there’s this, my personal boat, a Mainship 430, I moved it from...

    Whisper wall cleaning.

Agreed. Once tacky there is no fixing it. Replacing was the only option on my old 2004 400.

    MS 390 Vibration

I went thru this same issue with my 2004 Mainship 400. We balanced the prop twice (first guy didn’t do it right), shaft once, then new shaft, new coupler, new motor mounts, engine alignment 2-3 times. It got better but we Still had some vibration. However even after 2 balances when I changed...

Help the Staff at Legacy Harbour Marina Ft Myers Florida

As most of you know Ft Myers was decimated by Hurricane Ian. Legacy Harbour Marina was our homeport for a lot of years and right downtown. I know that a lot of trawler cruisers and loopers have stayed at Legacy in their travels. Harbor Master Eric was a long term HM there and has been there...

Help the Staff at Legacy Harbour Marina in Ft Myers

I do not know if this is the proper way to ask or set this up but I do know that so many loopers have stayed at Legacy that maybe the loopers could also help. I started a Go Fund Me for the staff at Legacy. I am a boat dealer and boat owner and kept my boat there. In fact if you did the AGLCA...

    1997 Mainship 350 hour meter

They will eventually fade out completely. While you can take pics when the LCD ones are clear and install analog Hobbs meters somewhere for both. That way you can prove engine hours with the pictures of the old digital meter and the new analog Hobbs meter. This comes up a lot in used sales...

    Solar Q

Besides the solar cell capacity question the only logical place to run wires from flybridge to engine room is the existing wire chase stb side under flybridge settee cushion that run to engine room and exits on top of stb fuel tank. The ac plenum box stb side of galley wall by sliding door is...

Fleming 55 vs Krogen Express 52

I’d put a Grand Banks 52 into that equation also. Very large mid ship master. The GB47 is smaller than the boats you mentioned. I’ve cruised 100s of miles on a Fleming 55 that I sold to a client friend. He considered krogen also at the time but the Fleming flows better layout, stairs, deck...

    Generator on 2004 Mainship 400

Ditto on sound enclosure. I have the same 2004 MS400. Just removed it but saved all the pieces just in case changed my mind buts it’s going in the trash on the next boat trip. It’s so much easier to get to everything. Also replace that heat exchanger pressure cap if it’s more than a few years...

    Prop reconditioning

Best to do both at once so they are tuned exact. Could be the Undamaged one is fine but I’ve seen where we did one and then had a weird vibration that never occurred before. Weird I know but doing both at once at least you hauled it out one time.
