    Carnivore or Vegitarian?

I'm not opposed to a vegetarian meal now and again..."veggie bowl" with beans & rice...but I'm mostly an omnivore...who needs to make sure he's getting enough fiber...

    Stupidity incarnated

Reminds me of the time I was on a sailboat in the Bahamas...we were diving--had the dive flag up--and some idiot ran a power boat between a diver from our boat and the sailboat...the diver was, thankfully, deep enough to not be affected, but that's not the point. Crazy.

    Hurricane Irma

I'm in Florida on the east coast. I'll be staying through the storm with my elderly parents, also on the coast. It's going to be a rough ride, but I believe we will be alright. Their house survived Frances and Jean in 2004. The jog to the west has reduced the chance of VERY severe wind, but...

    How many years left?

My parents got out of the boating game about 15 years ago. They had a 42' sailboat. I often wonder if they had owned a trawler or similar if they would have been able to keep doing it longer. I'm currently boatless, but hope to have one fairly soon...for how long, is anyone's guess. If I have it...

    Where are the trawlering sites?

I've belonged to several boating and saltwater sports forums over the years. Most have had some sort of "off the deep end" forum of some kind or other. Most have also, after several years, run into a similar quandary, wherein the old-timers bemoan the posts the the off-topic forum and lack of...

    Greetings from FL

Howdy. I dream of some day owning a boat, and hopefully it won't be too long before it happens. My dream boat--right now--is a Krogen 55 Expedition. Though there are other boats I like too, such as N Pacific 59 PH, Fleming 58 & the Selene 56. But, unless I win the lottery, I'll have to buy a...
