    The only security zones around Tampa that I know of is the Port of Tampa and any power plant. When I lived in Crystal River, Florida, you couldn't get near the nuclear plant, it had a no fly zone and a no fishing zone.

    Thanks to everyone for their fast replies to a question that wasn't addressed online. We like to try to anchor close to bridges near Tampa Bay and when the tide is ripping, all we would do is drag the old anchor. I'm hoping that this is the answer.
