    A decision

Currently Southerly is in Ortega landing. 36ft. 1986 marine trader that has been updated for the past 4 years. I love her. She’s a beast. Since she is finished, just regular maintenance as in any boat, I’m seriously considering putting her on the market. The reason is to cash out on my primary...

    Hike in slip fees

Let me start off by saying I’m going to keep southerly where she is at despite a severe hike in slip fee. My marina, which I completely love has just tacked on a flat fee electric cost. 30 amp.$60.00 a month per cord, 50 amp. $125.00 per cord a month and 100 amp. 250.00 per cord a month...

Hmm, no flow on hot water

I installed a new hot water heater a few months back. Was working fine. This morning I go to get in the shower and no flow coming from the hot water at all. I seem to have low water pressure on the cold water also. Anybody have this happen? Hopefully it’s not an all day fix. Off to work today.

    New headliner?

First let me say my headliner in my forward cabin is in good shape. No sagging of any sort. It just needs some freshening up. It is vinyl with the tiny holes. I have tried all kinds of cleaners on it with no success. Has anyone put a light coat on their headliner with acrylic paint? I hate to...

    What is your greatest fear?

My greatest fear is a marina fire and today it was close to becoming a reality. Yesterday I boarded my boat with Max, my 9lb. Maltese. I’m determined to get a few nuisance projects done so I planned on staying onboard for a few days. For months I have complained about a an older large boat on...

    I’ve been busy!

    My window nightmare

As some of you know, I pulled 3 windows out and ordered them from Daytona glass. I still do not have the new glass. I really didn’t think this was rocket science. So, I could really use your help in finding someone to just do them. I’m sick and tired of screwing around. I cannot use the boat...

    I obviously made a mistake

Due to a death in the family, I left my boat unattended for 2 1/2 weeks. A week before I changed the water pump for my forward air conditioner. I left it in dehumidifer mode. The aft air conditioner was left running normally. I came back to find an E-4 error on my forward air. My aft air is fine...
