New electronic controls and thruster integration

Ford Lehman’s and thrusters are controlled by wire now. New toys for an old boat.

    Bow thruster

Definitely recommend CSR in Seattle. They installed my bow and Stern thrusters. They do a ton of them from all manufacturers. I have had them for 6 years under regular use from Seattle to Alaska. Not required for sure but the best addition to single handling which I do often and docking with...

    200Amp Alternators on Lehman’s

We are using the Balmar Altmount kit incorporating the Centerfielder going to house lithium bank. I will post a full system layout

    200Amp Alternators on Lehman’s

They are 120’s, just have it off while installing. Will zip tie a spare serpentine belt before reconnecting the cooling system. The black tubes are furnace ducting taken down for better access changing out engine mounts.

    200Amp Alternators on Lehman’s

Some shiny new bling added to the Lehman’s, 200 Amp each engine going through a Victron charge manager into a new 1500 Amp hour Lithium battery bank. Solar on bimini also being added. Excited to see the speed of recharge with this setup. Nostra Casa 1979 44’ Puget Trawler

Anchor Swivel options for 5/16 Chain

Ultra Flip is the Best I have used no swivel and many swivel options over 35 years of boating and in my opinion the ultra works perfectly and is able to eliminate my fears of side loading failure. The anchor pops into the roller every time perfectly. I have installed on my trawler and 30...

    Under Bunk Venting

I agree, we keep two dehumidifiers going forward and aft. They make a huge difference in a nice and dry boat. I found though that the moisture under the bunks was coming from spleeping when the temperature difference coming from tanks under the bed and closed cold lockers under the v-berth and...

    Under Bunk Venting

For the aft bunk in the pictures we used the Froli system. http://www.frolisleepsystems.com/index.html is adds a nice boxspring like base and ventilation. For the front v-berth I used hyper vent and custom cut and taped to fit the whole platform. It seems like I will like them both but I will...

    Under Bunk Venting

Added some venting under the mattress to the aft bunk and did some mesh material in the v-berth. Hopefully will combat the condensation we sometimes get in the fall when we are sleeping multiple nites in a row.

    No more angry pillow talk

That could be done pretty easily. I have one on the helm chair that would a perfect template. There is always a way to customize for us all. If you are that tall though your feet are definitely hitting the aft wall in this bed [emoji57]

    No more angry pillow talk

Made the template from hard board and then we had a metal fabricator cut and bend the aluminum stock to the shape of the template. Cheap materials. The biggest expense was upholstery and that was about $1k at King Canvas. Kennet

    No more angry pillow talk

Thanks, there are some funky elements to these great boats. But it makes it fun to figure out improvements. Putting the washing machine and A/C in closet still gives you hanging room on top.

    No more angry pillow talk

After so many years of cussing in the middle of the night after my pillow dropped to the deck floor again I finally solved the problem with a new headboard. It is also comfortable to sit in bed and read and watch TV finally. Made out of thick aluminum bent in shape of headboard then thick foam...

    Stidd vs director's chair

Went with Lebroc for the cabin helm. Chopped down the cabinet and mounted it to an electric slide base. I found the comfort of the Lebroc the best with inflatable lumbar and the admiral loves the heated bum feature when she has the helm.

    Stidd vs director's chair

One of my biggest complaints over the years was how I wanted a comfortable and secure seat to cruise for extended hours and in rough weather. Finally bit the bullet and upgraded both helm stations. Definitely one of the best spend of boat dollars I have made. Got the Stidd bench seat as a boat...

    Satellite tv

We have a KVH HD7 with 3 receivers and full HD package we extend to the boat from our home account. The dome is on a folding arch. It has worked perfectly for us and has not lost a signal from sea conditions. It has had signal issues when we are in Alaska when it rains heavily (Ketchikan :-( )...

    M.T. Aft Cabin Bed

I swapped out our innerspring for a sleep number with 2 adjustable sides and it is awesome for both of us. It is also light and easy to get in and set-up. I find that I change my desire for a very firm to slightly firm based on different activities I have been doing and how sore I am it allows...

    Great YouTube videos

We had the pleasure of meeting up with a wonderful YouTube family we followed and doing some cruising our boat in BC. They have turned into great friends and we have done a bunch of meet-ups since. The Leach family was originally planning to buy a Nordhavn and do their adventures cruising but...

    New Search Light

I replaced our big stainless standard bulb search light about 5 years ago with the Stryker and mounted in front of the boat on the railing, it is so light that minimal base needed. It has held up extremely well with 2 trips to Alaska and lots of green water over it with no problems. Looks brand...
