Would you buy a boat that "rested on the bottom briefly?"

Thanks. :) Curious - why the "not a Nordic fan" comments...

Would you buy a boat that "rested on the bottom briefly?"

Thanks for all the feedback. Going through the pictures again, it looks like there would be more projects than I would be comfortable with, not to mention the risk of more work uncovered in the process and down the road. Paying the yard to do the work would probably bring the cost up to, or...

Would you buy a boat that "rested on the bottom briefly?"

I follow Nordic Tug and American Tug listings from time to time. Just saw this listing and wondered why the price seemed low for a 2004 Nordic. Reading the details, it sounds like more than the outer hull got wet. Would the work done to date make it an acceptable bargain assuming it passes a...

In my 20's, I learned navigation, docking, etc on my Dad's 31' Uniflite. Enjoy!

Boat names that just have to be shared.

Has "Sanctity" been used? What happens on the boat, stays on the boat... considering it for my future boat purchase

Anyone choose the boat over the woman?

Applying this to my life right now: 1. Divorce - in progress 2. Find boat lady 1 - in progress, but don't get in too deep 3. Buy the boat - sooner, rather than later. 4. Invite boat lady 1. If she doesn't come along, let the boat attract a new, real boat lady 2 and see where that leads...

    Getting Started and Insurance

Recent threads have suggested that insurance is a problem, cost-wise and maybe otherwise, for people just getting started in boat ownership. I have plenty of experience on my Dad's boats (31 and 43 feet) and I have bare-boat charted as well. However, the last time I piloted a boat is 15+ years...

Found this on a beach in the Bahamas

Taking the guys out on my dad's boat back in the day, usually involved each person stringing the church keys together to see who could create the longest chain.

    YouTube Trawler Channels

I like a bit of everything, because boating requires everything - it's real life and not a movie after all. My childhood dream was to sail around the world. These folks are (trying) to live the dream, but covid... Nahoa got me started and I have watched every one. I really enjoy The...

    What's for dinner?

:thumb: As a kid, Dad took us fishing in a 16' runabout on the Delaware Bay. Mostly trout or weakfish, as they are called. As an adult (or older kid, as it were), I have fished the Adirondacks, but never caught anything until this year. In June, Bro and I canoe-camped and caught and ate...

    What's for dinner?

 If you are on a sport fish, wouldn't admitting, let alone being caught, with a can of tuna be a little embarrassing? Just sayin'

    What's for dinner?

The thread to drool over. Nice! I was wondering how all y'all fed past a week. As a backpacker over the last 30+ years, I was thinking freeze dried was the way to go. Thanks for the education. I do know backpackers who freeze dry their own. Never tried it, but I'm think a boat oven would work...

Our new to us Nordic Tugs NT-32

I am in serious need of a NT. Have "looked/boarded" five now (plus a AT) between 32 and 42 feet. I missed the 42 by ONE day. It was deposited the day before I showed up. <sigh>
