Draining and replacing coolant from Perkins T6.354's (circa 1986). No cooling issues just time to renew coolant. Not sure which coolant to use..currently filled with Prestone type green/yellow antifreeze......local Perkins dealer says to use Full Strength "Old School" Green Ethylene Glycol...

Fluid Film......Fluid Film® | Corrosion Preventative, Lubricant and Rust Inhibitor We use it on all our Dredges, Tugs, Barges and Tenders. Just spray it on and let it protect your metal surfaces....great stuff. We buy it by the 55 gal Drum. FYI.....Lowes Hardware carries Fluid Film in spray...

Don't forget about the Dinghy Davit Arm......my 42 has a clearance height of 22' to the top of the Davit....so i would bet the 47 is comparable or a little higher.....maybe 23-24'. Cheers!

On our CHB the scuppers (5 on each side) are an integral part of the hull mold.....if you have access, we have storage under the side decks...you may not, open the under deck storage area doors (in salon) and look up....you will see that they are not just inserted. From your pics it looks like...

Dipstick shows full.....I should have checked the pump index before installing but just assumed (this is what I get for assuming) that a BW certified rebuild shop/Perkins house would get something as basic as pump indexing correct.....also I should have tested tranny before i reconnected...

BW spec is 2.5 quarts plus cooler volume....so 3 total should be in the ballpark.
