I've had good luck with my Craftsman Anvil Cutter. It uses a replaceable razor blade. With a fresh blade it cuts 4.0 like butter without smashing the cable or leaving a deformed end that wont fit in your lug. It's useful for lots of other things around the boat too.

They make aux pulleys for John Deere powered heavy equipment. If you go with a double V then they probably have one in stock.
They made me an aux serpentine or my 6068...and tractor parts...
That's why I think it's a good idea to use a buyers broker. Find a broker that you like and let him make the initial contacts for you. If you eventually purchase the boat he gets part of the commission the seller pays.

Think about where that salt water went that cannot be cleaned, like between the engine cradle and the stringers. Does it have steel fuel tanks? They could corrode on the back side or bottom where you can't see. I walked away from a Defever 49RPH for just those reasons.
