    42 Grand Banks Motoryacht

Well done - she is beautiful (understatement). And the website is very easy to follow. We own a 1983 GB 36 Classic, and Rose Mary's elegance is something to aspire to. Thank you for sharing on here and good luck. I'll pass the word around down here in the South.

    Water in fuel

Great information in this thread - thank you. We're working through 'where did the water come from in the fuel' as well. One step I see suggested here, as well in other situations, is to close the water intake to the engine before flushing the lines. Could someone explain why that helps? I'm...

    Newbies w lots to learn

I'd like to find a captain like that up here in SC. Hope your captain is able to come back for a second day so y'all can get out on the water. And I hear you about the kneeeeees. I feel like I'm on a stairmaster all day when on the boat. I just remind myself that many cruisers are retirees...

    Newbies w lots to learn

Congrats, Adam and family, on your beautiful new floating home. My husband and I are newbies too and this forum has become our go-to for research and how-to's. These gurus won't steer you wrong. (And I've just learned to skip over the hot heads...and hopefully to not be one myself.) We also...

    Fridge/freezer latches

I hope you were able to find one. We just replaced our fridge latch on 1983 GB 36 Classic and it works great. On amazon search for LATCH WITH STRIKE OFFSET 5/8 TO 1-1/4 replaces CHG R30-9140-5/8 Kason 930 (by for Kason) I was able to use the latch, lining it up with original screw holes...

Georgetown Landing Marina, SC - my new favorite

Thank you for the insight about the exposure to the elements. We noticed the strong current as well, but of course haven't experienced a storm there. I appreciate the feedback!

Georgetown Landing Marina, SC - my new favorite

I just need to share my new favorite marina with all of you on this forum. My husband and I did some boat slip shopping on Winyah Bay yesterday. (We have a Grand Banks 36 under contract; fingers crossed that the survey doesn't give us any surprises and Georgetown, SC becomes her new home)...
