    Room to Maneuver

Boat buying rules 1. Don't fall in love with a boat before you buy it (after survey)! 2. If you want a "deal" start at about big (40%ish) discount. Note your broker can usually find out what others have paid via Yachtworld pro data. 3. Then again, if it's the right boat, be prepared to pay more...

    USCG Kind of Day

Square Gouper That's is exactly the questions that I asked my crew when we pulled in a 50 kilo (110 lbs) Square Grouper in the Keys in 2010. Decided keeping the years was a better option.

    Heads Pong

    Newbie - Solo cruiser

Don't have a six pack and Nashville is to cold for winter boating. And, I have grandchildren in college. My average cruise is from 10 days to full month. Boat is set up for short handling: thruster, twins, autopilot, etc. Handles like a big center console. After a couple of days at anchor, I...

    Newbie - Solo cruiser

Great forum here... been reading it for years and finally decided to join! I'm now officially a solo cruiser. Wife bought a beach house and is just not into it anymore. I've been boating solo for over a year now and frankly, it's tough! Friends are all talk... no shows! I've tried to hire...
