Hello, Robby - I’m always interested in anything to do with Cummins 555 engines, as we are the new owners of a 1986 Hershine 42 (bought from the original owners this summer) with the original engines in it. I hope you find your answers here.

@CharlieO, my husband had experience 30+ years ago as well, fishing in Alaska during the summers. He has also crewed on sailboats (and enjoys both power and sailing). I’ve lived by the water pretty much all my life, but am a big-boating novice and am learning everything as quickly as possible...

Thank you all for your kindness and warm welcome. I’d love to hear more about the Jefferson and any other Hershines out there! The GB42 is a beautiful boat. It’s so good to see you all enjoying your boating lives. I look forward to more adventures on the water, and learning from this community.
