I purchased two new commander tech antennas - they came with the pl259 connector attached. I need to pull the cable through the boat so will need to cut off and attach new. Recommendations on attaching new? Is soldering required and or recommendations on the crimp style? Pardon the ignorance...

I do not recommend SENA. We have them and find the pairing each time to be a pain and often takes a bit to get them to pair. Eartech also has the capability to swing up the boom to mute which is nice if mate is talking to someone on the dock vs. trying to say something to me.
