I have a 1974 MT-40 that I am restoring. The salon windows have discolored with a white opaque area near the frames. Is there anything I can do to get rid of this discoloration or is replacement the only option. I have attached two pictures. Thanks for any advice. SB

Thanks for the replies and advice. Am leaning toward replacement - going to call American Diesel next week and let the Forum know what I decide. BTW, did VP-31 in 1992 on my way to Dept. Head tour with VP-46 out of Moffett Field. Good times. SB

Need advice - I have a 1976 Marine Trader 40' dual cabin / dual engine. The starboard engine's (Lehman 120) crankshaft broke recently and the diesel shop has told me they want $21K to do a complete removal/rebuild, or $17K to replace. Is this a fair price? I was looking online...

Thanks for the replies, this forum has already been helpful. This MT 40 has the dual cabin layout with twin Lehmans. It needs lots of work on the salon bulkheads and flybridge deck - water has leaked from the corners next to the benches down into the salon - so I will replace...
