    Why not pex everywhere?

On my kitchen sink I just curved the drain hose upwards 2" or so and then down to the waterline thru hull. Effectively a "P" trap. Quietens the wave slapping completely and works perfectly over 5 years!

    New head time ?

Raritan Elegance Thanks Peggy. Powell River is only 80 miles North of Vancouver BC so not far from Puget Sound WA. Have put Raritan Elegance heads on previous yachts with great success, except with a flushed tampon wrapped around macerator, easily fixed by taking plate off back and removing...

    Lewmar Autoanchor 320 remote

auto anchor 320 Thanks for the solder idea but the pins are potted in epoxy or equivalent. I think the heat would be harmful. Anyway I ended up drilling the holes through and took 3 strands off each 16ga wire to fit through holes and tightened down screws. Seems to be working fine now. Just...

Anyone wire one of these? The socket connections, the type with a hole and tightening screw are so small you'd need a magnifying glass and eye glass screw driver to connect them (think computer circuit board!). Also the holes for the wire do not go all the way through the pins so they can only...

    sliding locking door latches

Thanks guys for all the help. PeterB, you are exactly right. The original door latch and lock look just like the Merit Metal Products #1781. I do have the outside padlock option and the inside original captured thumb screw to lock from inside. The real reason for wanting to retain the original...

    sliding locking door latches

Hi. I am still in search of replacement sliding door latches for my 1978 37' Hershine. The original ones are in poor shape and were not SS. Any ideas? I'm sure others have the same problem. They originally locked with a key. Thanks for any ideas. Almost ready to come out of the shed with an...

    Anchor chain volume?

Hi. Does anybody know the amount of space in cubic feet that 5/16ths g43 and 3/8ths g43 chain, per say 100 feet, would take? I can calculate the cubic feet of my anchor locker but hard to find specs on chain volume. No reply from Peerless when I tried to query them. Thanks
