Can anybody with a 42' tell me what their fuel usage is at 8 - 9 knots????

This is only exactly a year late.

Mine has the 330 Cummins and burns about 4 gph at 8.75 kts (1800 rpm). A little more if the gen set is running. I just got back from a trip where I burned 174 gallons in 41 engine hours. About a third of the time the 12.5 NL gen set was running because it was in the 90's here in SW Florida and one of the nice things about a pilot house is that you can turn on the A/C if you are hot.
