I am looking to buy a 1988 42' Grand Banks classic with twin 135hp lehmans. Does anyone have suggestions on where to get parts? are the parts becoming hard to come by? Also, how are they to work on?

American Diesel is the best known, best-stocked supplier for Lehman parts. The owner, Bob Smith, was involved in the initial marinization of the Ford of England diesels when he was at Lehman. They have a very rudimentary website but it will at least give you the phone number.
We have the Ford Lehman SP135 in Hobo and have not had any issues getting parts, In addtion to American Diesel you can also get parts from Bomac Marine.

American Diesel - (804) 435-3107. They have everything you need at reasonable prices, including a lot of expert free advice! The Ford Lehman was originally a tractor engine, so if you're in the super budget mode, you can check out a tractor place if you have one near you.
