Painting engines

i used rustoleum engine paint/primer on my Cats two year ago. still looking really great.
Rust protection and heat safe.
Not the same as original color but ok my boat is not so much a show horse.
The hard part was the prepping (not for me but for the dock hands i had hired to do the job...), removing rust and old paint.

Mark, that looks fantastic!

I am going the POR-15 route. THey have an engine paint kit that includes cleaner, degreaser, etcher, POR and finally paint. I am going to brush the mounts as well and then primer them with 1-2-3.

Paint

Hola everyone

I've got some corrosion and peeling paint on my twin Cummins 6BTs as well as two colors of paint. I'm going to clean them up and spray paint them with the original hideous Cummins beige. I've fixed the source of the corrosion.

Mechanic suggested I paint the engine mounts with a special paint that changes the rust into a protective coating. I wrote down the name but have since lost the paper. Any idea?

Any helpful tips?
In the UK We use HAMMERITE!!DONT USE ORDINARY PAINT IT WILL MELT
