I am new so this is a re-post to clarify type of boat with the problem.
I am trying to find info on the location of the water gauge sending unit and access so I can replace it.
It appears Mainship is no longer in business to give me this information and since I have a friend with the same problem it is not uncommon and someone may have info.
Thanks for any info.

Is this a sending unit on the engine (temperature) or for the potable water supply?

If the engine, it's probably on the head or one of the heads. If you're talking about the potable water supply, look for something mounted on one of the water tanks with wires connected to it.

It is the freshwater tank sending unit and the tank is not accessible. It seems it may be buried underneath the floor of the second stateroom which is a sitting area on the STB side with a seat that makes into a bed. Has anyone replaced theirs?

I can't help you with your particular boat, but I have two suggestions:

1) If you haven't already done so, make sure the problem is with the sending unit, not the gauge or the wiring before you tear your boat apart.

2) Somebody put the tank and sending unit in the boat so it's probably more accessible than it may appear at first glance. You may have to remove some panels or furniture, but it's unlikely that you would have to take a saw to the boat to replace a tank sensor.
