Folks,
Has anyone had issues with NAPA 3166 fuel filters not seating on a Ford Lehman 120? The PO has these on, the filters were white. I installed replacements, they are now silver, and cannot seem to get them all to seat.

The guys are American Diesel mentioned they have heard of some people having problems. Looking for any tips, tricks, or better filter suggestions.

Thanks
Donny

I replaced that entire assembly with a Racor spin-on filter. Just had to weld a short extension to the original mounting bracket. Those cartridge filters were just too much of a PITA. BTW, I sold the old bracket easily. Lots of people have stripped out the threads trying to stop air leaks.

bingo on the Racor idea...I'm going to mount one but a turbine so I only have one kind of filter to worry about...the stock filter system is by Rube Goldberg...

all of you that think you need 3 stage filtering...great...get a life...you'll NEVER convince me after 10's of thousands of hours underway (commercial/recreational).:D
