I have a Norcold DE0061 refrigerator/freezer that has begun an intermittent rapid on/off cycling problem. It cools to the desired temp, then cycles on for 5 seconds then off for 3 seconds. AC or DC power doesn't matter. Door seals are ok, no other visible issues. Suggestions?

Sounds like a thermostat with bad internal contacts. They are reasonably cheap, maybe $25. Find them on rparts.com.

Very likely the thermostat. Switch the power off, rotate the knob to off, then rotate slowly towards colder just until it makes a click. Now rotate very slowly back in the warmer direction, if it clicks again with just a slight turn it is faulty. There should be about 5 degrees of rotation between on and off clicks. This is the differential that prevents constant cycling.

Beat me to it, thermostat going haywire,.

I now have this same exact issue. Can someone tell me how to jump out the thermostat? There’s 5 wires going to the controller. Red(+), black(-), orange(batter monitor), yellow(?), and brown(?)
