Being afraid to touch the job myself, I had a previous poorly done repaint re-coated with Claret Awlcraft last summer with exceptional results. The area was from waterline to deck edge about 8-10 inches in breadth just back from the bow, like somebody had an allision with a pier. Anyway, I stood in awe as the guy put the finishing touches on the clear coat after spraying on the paint and clear coat the day before. He had over sprayed the cc back about 6 inches over the undamaged but lightly sanded area aft of the recoated area and perfomed something just short of magic with a 3000-grit disc followed by a polisher with compound. Look closely at the taped area to see the demarcation of the repainted area and the lightly sanded area aft of it.
