New Pacific Trawler Owner

Well, we did it. The Pacific Trawler 40 that was in Mandeville is now ours. We will be moving it North in the spring to just north of Boston.

Interestingly, the abstract says the boat was built in Bellingham WA by Nordic NW. Did Nordic Tugs have a hand in building these?

From what the PO has said, this boat was one of six purchased by Regatta Pointe Yacht Sales in Florida to be sold on the east coast. Done anyone here have another one of the six?

To do justice to its heritage as noted by the solid bimini over the cockpit, you should bring your boat to the PNW and coastal BC where we get gobs of rain. Your boat is perfect for that weather. Its the perfect "cruise to Alaska" boat.

There is a connection, but the short answer is that Nordic Tug did not have anything to do with building Pacific Trawlers.

Your boat was built by Pacific Trawler Corporation which was owned by the former President of Nordic Tug. When he separated from Nordic Tug, he ended up with the Pacific Trawler molds and went into business.
