Hi everyone...This is my first post on Trawler Forum. I own a 45’ CHB and live in Hawaii. Today I broke an overhead light lens on my boat and was hoping someone might know where I can find a replacement. It’s a 1981 CHB so it may be hard to find.

Welcome aboard TF
A picture would increase your odds of finding the mfg

Look for a manufacturers name on the fixture. Better makers offer lenses.

Just added a picture...thanks

CHBSteve, don`t know about over there but here, that light fitting is common as, and easily found at any boat gear/chandlery etc store.

May be the most common boat light made. They are all over Ebay, Amazon and most marine online store (West and Defender) I have 27 of them on my boat. No joke. The PO went nuts with them.

For many boats that light can be easily modified .

The bulb holder has two wires to light the lamp . AS the housing is SS it is very easy to install a dual element bulb (auto brake light bulb) and add a switch.

Our choice was to use a pill chain switch for the low power as its EZ to find in the dark, and leave the std switch for the high power bulb which is Bright!

The Seachoice Dome Light S/S seems to have a finer lens pattern than the pictures provided by the OP. Can anyone who has purchased one of the Seachoice Dome Light S/S confirm whether the pattern is the same or different. Also, do the Seachoice Dome Lights S/S have a glass or plastic lens cover?

I would replace the entire thing with a LED fixture. Much more light and less battery draw.
Cant have too much light in the ER
