I know it’s a Cathodic system, but who is manufacturer, what’s it (reading) telling me, your opinion on if it’s a good system to have, can, I get a replacement (newer) controller, etc...I apologize for the poor quality pictures. There is no identifiable manufacture on outside short of the “B” logo on gauges.

I found one on my boat. This system is before my time which goes back to 1990 for catholic systems. I have never been able to track down anything regarding this system. In theory one gage should be volts and the other amps. There should be a reference anode on the hull and then a connection to your bonding system. I just have not had enough good experience with catholic protection systems to justify their expense and maintenance.

I do know it is manufactured by B Monitrol but cannot find any information or if company even exists.

I found Monitrol still alive but no longer involved in the marine side, now it appears only with agriculture and industrial applications.

Your old system measured the voltage between the zinc and the water. As long as the voltage was in a certain range the metal attached to the bonding system was protected ASSUMING all the joints were conductive.

There are other systems that will do the same one of which is above.

I have been to both sites you suggested and am now totally emerging myself in this corrosion world. Just ordered a test kit with silver chloride tester to confirm the readings at the panel. I will also test everything first, then go over each connection point, replacing and repairing every fitting, then retest. I want to totally understand this system.
