I installed a new A/C this weekend, could not get it working.

checked voltage etc all looked good

called support, asked for pics

Now all my life green is ground right! :banghead:

so I have green, yellow/green strip and tan

Well green was kinds teal, really blue I learned

Blue is neutral
Tan load
yellow/green ground

all is well with a quick switch:thumb:

I would never assume anything. I keep a voltmeter on-board.

It's not just EU boats.

It's the rest of the world.

I've learned on boats, unless you know what colors were used originally, don't trust / assume anything, check it all. On my boat for 12v stuff, Chris Craft loved to do dumb things like using red and black both for +12v and white for ground on branch circuits. Yet the main ground cables are black, of course.
