Enough with all this useless talk about oil change systems, zinc thread sealer, and electrical crimps :angel:

------- we found a secondary use for our removable forward awning poles: outdoor movie night!! :D:D:D:dance:

Bought a cheap-o, rechargeable battery-powered projector and a fabric screen on Amazon as a test. It works - GREAT!

WiFi, Roku/Fire Stick, or flash drive - this thing is awesome (at least for now - we'll see how long it lasts).

Plenty bright in the evening, and really small - only 4" square box!

That is VERY cool and now you have me thinking of where we could hang a sheet! Can you tell me more about your projector?

Love it! Great idea. Love the forward awning too. Got any pictures of it in place?

Well....glad to see that a Great Harbour owner has figured out a method to fully utilize that massive bow area. Now how about a dozen or so of those reclining theater seats!

Magnificent!

Thanks for the memories

That brings back not so distant memories. We used to have movie nights in the back yard with friends and family. But movies on the boat , way cooler.

I had a Sunbrella bow awning for my sailboat, but soon discovered that in a windy anchorage it had sufficient lift to drag 45 lb. CQR w/all chain rode. We didn't lounge on the teak foredeck, anyway, so after that we relied on the windscoop to cool belowdecks. Turned out to be the best boating gadget ever, & one of the cheapest.

Brilliant!

Well that is certainly innovative. Glad I didn't have the slip next to you on movie night. Nothing wrong with your choice of movies, I just prefer not to have the "Drive In" complete with sound, next to my boat after dark. Hope you don't plan to do that in anchorages with other boats nearby.

Certainly wouldn't do that!

There were no occupied boats 3-deep on either side of us.

Sound is low, right next to where we sit. Cannot even hear it in the cockpit.

Best,
Ray

:thumb: Very good! I appreciate your respect for the rights of your neighbors! Sadly, not everyone does.

We wouldn't mind you in the slip next to use, we would bring the popcorn. :thumb:

That would attract gnats and no see ums in my neck of the woods in the summer!

Great idea!

Do you think my neighbors will frown upon my 70's porn collection?

Aloha!

Great idea!

Where did you get the setup for the projector “table”

Thanks!

That's a mast step that is conveniently already there for access to the top of the pilothouse.

Right place, right time..... :)
