Considering a 2000ish Grand Alaskan 65...anyone have experience with this yacht?

Hey folks....need some help from my fellow boaters.

Me and the admiral are considering a GA 65' for our retirement travel and lodging for part of the year.
Would love to hear from fellow GA owners/skippers/crew and get thoughts on the following:
Build quality and overall impressions of the yacht?
Has CAT 3406E power
Has bow/stern thrusters, so has anyone had any issues docking or comments on close quarters and how she performs, etc?
Anything else positive/negative you can tell us about the boat?

We we are in the PNW and would use this boat primarily there but also wanted something we could venture to Alaska or Mexcio/So Cal in the harsh NW winteres.
Thanks so much everyone and appreciate any/all advice.

They're terrible, stay away. ;)

Ha ha...thanks. I think you guys just bought yours?
Do you have many hours at the helm and yet and thoughts?
What are your power?
Thanks

Have had our 53 for four years - love the DeFever design, quality of build, the systems, the power plant, and the handling. I do know someone who has a 65, will send you his contact details.
