Rayline Search light information

I just purchased a Rayline Search light. I believe it to be from the 70's era. it has a 10" lens. both the light and the very heavy base are chrome. I have seen pictures of similar lights but with a white base. I believe that it was a motorized light. The light does work but i don't know if the motor works.
the model number is 42780-0002. can anyone give me any information on this light. I would like to know when it was made, approximate value and what type of boat this would have been used on. It is currently mounted on and antique tripod.
