I recently purchased a 1999 Mainship 430. There is some damage to the headliner panels in the owners cabin. How can I get these out without tearing THEM UP?

Welcome aboard and congrats on your new boat.

I've used the leather repair kits that you purchase from auto parts stores for temporary repairs but the only solution is to remove it and replace it with new. It's a tedious job but fixes the problem.

Not sure what panels you have, but on my 2003 390 the headliner was coming down in the salon and forward cabin. I bought headliner glue in an auto parts store and re-glued each panel one section at a time. I used a squeegee to smooth each section in place. I did not take them completely off as that would have been a major undertaking. I pulled down 1/3 rd of a section at a time. It was easy to do and the finished job looks like it did when new.

Take a look at this. It's from a smaller Mainship, but I think the headliner installation is the same. Headliner Reinstallation
