Found a puddle inside the stbd sidedeck in front of the steps when we opened it up (cracks were on surface) and were wondering if the taylor made windows were the cause...anyone have thoughts?

More likely the install is the problem , tho low cost windows are just that.

Many are very simple to re bed , unscrew , scrape the sealant off and use a new roll of sealant , from the RV dealer.

It is quick and clean and does not cause the problems 5200 or 4200 cause on the next replacement.

All sealant has a limited service life , the RV tape is great on newer fittings built for it.

Dolphinite is my favorite for older more common marine parts.

For a little comic relief:

Over 20 yrs ago I had a 1981 Mainship 34 which developed a leak around a window. *Pulled the window to re-seal it and found it "bedded in" with double-sided paper tape.

YMMV.

yikes...wonder if it happened in 2004....

we have decided to reseal the window as you suggested...wonder what we'll find...highly probable that the seal is the problem...
