PNW Surveyor -Aluminum Boat

I'm looking for recommendations for surveyor here in Washington for a surveyor who knows aluminum boats. I'm looking at a 40' aluminum trawler in the Bellingham area and want a knowledgeable, experienced surveyor to assist.

I can't refer you to a local surveyor who is knowledgeable on aluminum boats, but you might contact All American Marine in Bellingham which specializes in aluminium construction. They could give you some names.

John Baird. He used to be with Zenith Maritime, I think he is on his own now. He has done several surveys for us, including metal hulls.

You may be able to get a recommendation from Frank Durksen at AAA Yachtfinders in Anacortes. He has been around the block a bit.
