I know it’s a long shot but I need to purchase a bronze or brass rail gate hinge fitting and latch for my Bristol 42. (see photos).

Mine was lost overboard during hurricane Michael, I have the replacement teak but no hardware to match the other rail gates, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks, Steve

I don’t have a clue where the middle photo came from, it’s not mine!
 
I have, someplace three sets of rail gate hinges and latches from my old f26 trojan mine are stainless not bronze They are for a slightly narrower rail than what is on my current 34LRC Californian. What width rails do you have? I can check my salvaged rail to measure. if intersested.
 
Craig, I am interested if they are 2.5" x 1.25"

Hi Craig my rails look they are 2 1/2inch x 1 1/4 inch with radii on all 4 corners. I am only missing 1 but may replace all 3 so they are matching depending on price, thanks, Steve
 
We almost lost one of our entire gates two seasons ago on KS. The curl pin had given up the ghost and fell out underway.
Arriving to our stopover, unlatched the gate and the whole thing came off in my hand. We were rally lucky not to have lost it.
Replaced all three curl pins with stainless bolts and locknuts.

I looked again today in the shed to no avail. I know they are someplace but I haven't found them yet. I did measure the old teak rail though, and they look to be 1 1/4" x
2 3/4" roughly they have been sanded many times over the years. If this seems close to what you need I'll continue to look. Now that it looks like I'm past winter I need to clean out the shed and get rid of stuff. They are probably there.

Ill be looking I realized after I posted yesterdays reply that you said yours bare 1.25 x 2.5 when I said mine were 2.75 wide that was an approximation could easily be 2.5 if I didn't allow as much for sanded off. Ill let you know when I find them . give me some time.

I took Hopcars suggestion and bought the hardware from Buck Algonquin. Cut a 21" section out of the real rail, for a 24" opening. Fitting were too big for my railing. I put them into a big vice with copper on the jaws, heated with a torch and squeezed them to the rail width. They are not a custom fit but I can live with the look.
