You might try Munters Inc

I have not used them but picked up that contact from someone else online.
You may have to provide a sketch & dimensions or possibly provide the housing.
It looks like they have many different profiles / sizes available and may be able to find one that could be used to rebuild the original.
Let us know how you make out.

Thank you Don. I sent an email to Munters Inc. trying to obtain a sample. I will post with any info.

I have been in discussion with Delta T, and received a quote, for “demister” vents for our engine room. I think we are at 600-odd bucks per unit, which might be a good option for your Mainship as you would have a demister instead of a simple vent. We are going to move forward on this for our next project.

Delta T has been easy to communicate and work with - I put in a couple of their fans also.

Usual disclaimer applies...

Good Luck

Mist elimination?
You guys must be going through some seriously rough conditions to warrant that, surely.

Contact Info for vendors

I'm looking to replace to of these vents on my 2010 MS 395.

I would appreciate any info you could provide for vendors you have found.

Thanks

Really? I find this amazing, I thought the screens were for keeping small animals out. Learn something new every day!

Engine room vents

Thanks to BellaDonna’s suggestion, I contacted Dick Bramer and learned they now have lots of material for my MS 395 vents. I won’t get them until the end of June, so I can’t provide any opinion of the quality at this time.

The good news is they can make them:dance:. The BAD news is the price is up significantly - $693 each plus shipping:facepalm:. This is about $300 higher than some others they built during the past couple of years.

Dick Bramer asked me to let Mainship owners know that he currently has plenty of the materia

Engine Room Vents

I received my engine room air intake vents on June 9th. Very quick turnaround.

I will not be able to a review the vents themselves until I return from a short cruise north.

New engine room vents

I have received and installed my engine room vents.

I received the vents very quickly but, due to travel, I was unable to install them until early August.

There were some problems with the original vents. After I identified the issues, I shipped the vents back to Dick Bramer and he turned them around in about 5 days including transit. Dick paid for all of the shipping charges.

If you work with Dick on some new vents make sure to give him as much detail as possible. These vents are not cookie cutter.

Throughout the process Dick Bramer was absolutely focused on customer service/customer satisfaction.

Regards

The vanes had deteriorated and were falling apart. Probably sun damage.

Mine has done this as well. I'm going to pull it and see if I can rebuild it myself. Nothing to lose by trying and $693 seems really high for a plastic vent.

Hello, I live in Sydney Australia and recently joined this forum. I have a Mainship 400 2007 twin engine model. There is an air vent on the Starboard side aft which I assume is a vent from the engine room. It has 17 vertical struts which appear to be made of plastic. They are crumbling and falling apart rapidly. Does anyone know where I could purchase a replacement or will i just have to get something custom made?? many thanks, kevin - clarkekevin10@gmail.com

Welcome aboard TF. Lots of current / past Mainship owners & info here.
Best to start a new thread when your question or comment is not related to the existing thread topic.
I have posted a "Sticky" at the top of the Marlow Mainship section regarding MS parts info. It includes a source for the vent that some TFers have used. They are pricey but should be exact fit as it is the OEM that MS used.
