I am having a hard time finding a bow rail flagstaff mount that will fit the larger diameter stainless steel bow rail from 1973. I have a Marine Trader 34 and everthing I have found is too small. I believe the rail is 1.25 inches in diameter if not larger. Does anyone have a solution or source?
Thanks!

Sea Breeze, I use a Perko rod holder. The teak jack staff will need some half hitches to make it fit snug.

I just measured my rail, it’s 1” , for 1 1/4” you could replace the two Perko clamp bolts with longer bolts to fit your rail. Mine have been in place over ten years bow and stern, typical Perko quality.

Both are great information!! What size flag staff is best for a bow rail?

Try twice the vertical length of your burgee. I like a burgee that has material light enough to give you a good read on wind direction and strength for docking and anchoring.
