Boat is seal up for the winter and I am fridge shopping. My 79 MK1 has original norcold fridge but I do not have the specs on it. Anyone have that info close at hand? I am designing a new house bank based on solar panels, a new fridge (thinking cheap fridge 110v only with load sized inverter), table top icemaker and or a tiny chest freezer. I think 4-500 w of panels outboard of the aft flybridge rail will do it. Goal is to be 24-48 hrs between plug in or engine run for refridgeration. Thanks

For alternate energy its always best to reduce the loads to a minimum .

New DC fridges with multiple speeds may draw 1/2 to 1/3 the amperage of a house fridge, an ice maker and a small freezer.
