I can't remember a warmer boat parade in the 15 years I've been in it! It was shorts and T-shirt weather! South wind, actually some water in the lake (it's been REALLY shallow many years!)

I'm happy to announce we won the "Most Beautiful" trophy for most beautiful boat in the parade. The only one to beat us was the "It's a small world" boat for any of you who watched the parade. They won the Campbell trophy for the best family (non-sponsored) boat in the parade. The sailboat with the big computer controlled Christmas tree won the Red Adair trophy for best sponsored boat in the parade for the third year in a row. They've only entered three years! I guess if you throw enough money at it... Hahahaa!

Anastasia III hasn't done too bad for her 6 years in the parade. Two Campbells, one most beautiful and three 1st's.

*But heck, it's all about the fun. Here are some pix from the weekend. A great, short video of us going by Portofino is here: http://s221.photobucket.com/albums/dd74/hisnoop/?action=view&current=KeithX-MasParade.flv

Haven't received a lot of "underway" pix yet, but thanks to John for getting a couple.

Keith, you and John have some really great photos of boat parades. Thanks for sharing. Last year I went to the annual Thanksgiving eve boat parade in Jacksonville, Florida. WOW, was it great! WOW, did my photos come out terrible. We had the flu for Thanksgiving this year at our house so didn't make the parade. We'll try again next year.

Last year I went with my son and his family. Luke (grandson, 3) just loved it. The animated dragon was spectacular and all the Christmas themed ones were wonderful. Many had Christmas carole's, some were live singers.

Thanks again fellas and I would like to invite everyone to come to JAX for the boat parade, you'll love it. For that matter get the family and some friends together and go to a boat parade anywhere. Even lubbers will "lub" it.

Regards,
