has anyone removed the ply lining from the cabin walls of their trawler? I have some water damaged walls that are beyond salvage, is removal an option or is there another solution, any help appreciated

How bad is the paneling? Is it just stained or is it falling apart? If it is falling apart then I would replace it.

the ply is falling apart/delaminating. the other issue is the suppliers of teak ply are very scarce here in Aus(have not found a supplier yet) so whatever I use will need to match or completely replace

I pulled off all my 4 pky teak plywood as it was falling off in my hands.

Replaced it with pine bead board strips about 12 inches wde and painted them.

Remove the ply very gently , it can be a great pattern.

For low maint Teak like Formica is easy to clean.
