Further to an earlier post
seeking help on installation I have now fitted my zinc anode block to the transom underwater area and wired shaft shaft tube and stuffing box plus rudder stock tube and gland to to the anode via a bus bar. I also fitted an anode to the end of my shaft. Initially my motor was also bonded to anode via bus bar.
The problem I am experiencing is the blowing of of antifoul in the anode vicinity and am at a loss as to the cause.Cheers Phil

So the paint is blowing off of the hull surrounding the anode?

Yes about 6 inches around anode full coats recently applied back to old antifouling

What is the copper content of your anti-fouling paint? Too high a Cu content can interact with the anode and cause haloing the most extreme case being losing the anti-fouling.

What is the potential against a reference cell of all of the underwater equipment attached to that anode?

What is the anode material...Zn, Al or Mg
