That would work great in the UK, too.

My favorite Australian term is what they call automotive body shops.
 
I don't know about Aussie body shops but do you know what the Brits called the builder's hall in their shipyards? The Canadians did too and there used to be a shipyard in North Vancouver that had a building facing the world with the name of that building's purpose in huge letters.
 
The Australian (and New Zealand) name for a body shop is "panel beater."
