• Trawler Forum Classified Posting Guidelines
    • We expect ads placed to be related to the topic of this forum.
    • Ads that are inactive for 180 days or longer may be moved to the Classified Archive and locked. Ads may be relisted if the item is still current. Alternatively, owners may contact a Moderator to reinstate an archived ad.
    • The Classified section is for advertising, members are asked to refrain from posting discussions to a Classified Ad. Please start a discussion thread or PM the owner for discussions.
    • Do not hijack another member's ad by posting unsolicited commentary. Example: if a member has posted an ad offering an anchor for sale, don't add a post to his thread stating that you have an anchor you'd like to get rid of also. Posts deemed as unsolicited commentary may be removed.
    • For your own security, do NOT include your e-mail or phone number in your ad. Instead request that interested parties contact you via PM (private message) to provide owners contact info.
    • Brokers, Dealers, or those with a commercial interest in a sale are prohibited from posting in Classifieds.
    • Only Trawler Forum Commercial Members may post ads in the Commercial section. You must be a designated Commercial Member to start threads in this section of the forum. (Contact a moderator if you have questions about this)
    • Don't post links to commercial sites where you are also offering the boat, such as eBay, Craigslist or Yachtworld, etc. unless it contains a more in-depth description, additional information or pictures.
    • Place only one ad per item (you may repost only when your ad has expired and been removed).
    For Sale ads MUST include:
    • Asking price
    • Location
    • A Basic Description
    • Clear statement whether you are the owner or non-owner (posting for friend, relative, or acquaintance)
    • Don't forget to select: FOR SALE, WANTED or FREE in the Title block.
All ads should also include ALL the following:
    • Pertinent maintenance and condition information
    • Exterior picture or pictures
    • Interior picture or pictures (boats)
For maximum impact & exposure, it is suggested the Ad Title include: Year, Manufacturer, Model, Length, Price, and Location or at the very top of the ad body. When your item has sold or the ad is no longer relevant: Please post a Reply to the ad that the item is SOLD or click "Report Post" on post 1 of the thread to ask a moderator to archive the ad. Ads may be moved or removed by our staff at any time for any reason. All ads must comply with site rules. Thanks for your cooperation.
  • Avoid Scams.

Our classifieds are free and anyone registered here is welcome to post an ad.
Be aware that there are unscrupulous folks out there. Avoid any interaction that seems odd to you or feels wrong. Inquiries from unknown buyers, buyers agents and other non-traditional approaches should be treated with extreme caution.

Beware of unsolicited contacts offering to put you in touch with someone else who is buying or selling via e-mail or text.

Do not post your e-mail address or phone number in a classifieds ad.

Hints that you may be dealing with a Scammer:
    • Seller or Buyer approaches you via a direct email or PM and then steers you to an off-site communication method (text or email).
    • No posts or very few forum posts.
    • Recent forum membership
    • Insists on conducting negotiations via email or text rather than PM
    • Requires payment via Bank Transfer, BitCoin/CryptoCurrency, WesternUnion or other unsecured method.
    • Buyer or Seller suggests Paypal "Friends and Family" payment. Paypal is a good way to arrange payment but an invoice for goods and services should be used rather than "Friends and Family". "Friends and Family" avoids fees BUT there is no recourse if the transaction runs aground. Friends and Family is for gifts only. There is no protection for Friends and Family transactions, so never ever use it to buy something.
    • Declines to allow viewing the item before proceeding with the transaction.

Dad has decided it's is now time for the boat to find a new home. They thought they would cruise after retiring last year, but decided not to. Looking for serious offers from someone who is ready to enjoy this great boat. She was repainted in 2008 with Awlgrip with a yacht quality finish. She was sanded, faired, primed, sanded and painted several times. The finish on this boat is excellent and she turns heads at every marina as people think she is a new boat. All canvas was replaced and is in excellent shape. Also has a davit with a 9' Boston Whaler dinghy under cover with a Yamaha 8 hp outboard that is also in excellent shape.

Powered by highly dependable twin 671 DD JT with less then 1,800 hours, always maintained with an open checkbook. If it broke, it was replaced with a new part! Two new A/C's, SS exhaust elbows, batteries, and more recently replaced. Garmin 4212 along with radar and Furuno bottom machine, back up GPS, synchronizers, flowscans and much more. Bridge also has heat and A/C!

Granite counter tops in the galley, huge amounts of storage and will come with a full complement of dock lines, fenders, etc. This is a turn key boat ready for the loop. Her two previous owners cruised her in the Bahamas and South Carolina area according to her log book. There is also a box full of original builder schematics.

Below are a few pictures and I can get more. I was once a yacht broker and I'm not looking to be contacted by any brokers UNLESS you have a buyer. I will pay a commission if you have a buyer, so don't call fishing for a listing! You can reach me at eight 5 zero 6 nine nine 13 eight three.

Do you have a price?

Not yet - but willing to entertain offers, maybe even land or newer RV. :) It was last on the market at $189 with zero interest, so clearly lower then that number.

I think 70's to early 90's Hatteras Yachts hold their beauty better than any other boat. I could be biased however. Gorgeous boat that will last many years more. These boats are so well made they are easy to maintain and repair.

This one is still for sale and thought I'd make the forum rounds before it goes to a broker.

I know the pictures are a few years old, but she looks dang near identical, thanks to being under cover and hiring a crew to keep her clean. Mom and dad have retired from boating, I've used it once this year. She needs to find a new home. I'd like to see a price near $125,000 but open to offers - you never know what will get accepted. I see several of these models go by every year flying a Great Loop burgee, so you know it's a good candidate for the loop with all the luxuries of home and she turns heads in all the nice marinas.

Following

The engines were painted with Awlgrip two years ago. I will get some pics and post them. The rest of engine room looks like a clean 1986 engine room, nothing special, but it's certainly NOT covered in soot and oil. May be next week before I can pics up.

Beautiful 63! I had posted there in the past but the market was at a different place so it needs to be brought back up as well. thanks!

What are the two levers on the aft deck sink cabinet?

Transmission so you can dock from down below. I’ve never used them for docking and prefer docking from the helm for all around visibility.

Made it through Michael with zero damage. [emoji41]

In the last picture, I glassed in a new support for the battery, over drilling the holes, filled them with epoxy and the redrilled so no rot can occur and everything is sealed up.

listing without a price

What happened?? No rant about listing without a price?? Other than "Do you have a price in mind"??? Nice Hat, good luck on the sale. 125 seems like a fair price.

Just to update - the Island Song will be listed with a broker next month. Waiting on a haul out, hull wax and nice, current pics/video for the listing.

I cant believe this hasnt sold yet....

I sent you a PM.

Listing with broker is the easier way to go, at least from the ones I've seen, they handle the 1000 questions, around for survey (launch and haul) and have yard handle issues to close deal. I know most don't want to pay the percentage fee but it is worth it on a vessel like this.
