What are some of the best stay aboard marinas in the Washington, N.C. area during the winter months? We have a 34 ft. Marine Trader, and retired with limited income. So we are looking for a lower budget marina, but decent. Also, would like to put the up in dry storage during summer months. I spoke with the dockmaster at the Washington City Docks and he was very welcoming and seemed to not be discouraged with extended stays on the boat. So many of my inquires answer: "No Liveaboards". I'm not looking for a permanent address, only extended stay during winter. Thanks for any help any of you may have. We currently have our boat in the Albany, N.Y. area.

You could try the Grand in New Bern. Many liveaboards and a good rate. For haul-out try wayfairs cove 10 miles from New Bern both on the Neuse River.
