What does your boat look like?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone who enjoys boating.

We presently have a Silverton 43 MY waiting on a 52 Seahorse. We chose this boat due to the custom features they were willing to build for us, and the layout. I have been on 3 and all were comfortable for costal cruising. The earlier models were all wide bodied, and I didn't care for the access from bow to stern, however the newer starb. walk made the difference to me.
Certainly for us to go from 25gal per hr. to 6 gal per hr. was a no brainer, and retirement didn't hurt either. Price was also favorable.

Hi all =)

My Boat Looks like a 38' Ocean Alexander/Golden Star/Fu Hwa/Chien Hwa. The fact is I've seen my same exact hull under all 4 of these nameplates so I dont really know what to call it.

Dan, Beautiful vessel, where was she built? and for some reason my senile mind has heard her name before, was their an article written about your vessel recently?
Jeff

Hello Jeff
Thanks for the compliment. Your boat looks very nice also. I thought I saw a boat like yours on the early list of boats participating in the Fubar Rally? *As for your question regarding where our boat was built....we built Balto in Seattle on Harbor Island.* A story about us was just in the last issue of passagemaker.

Yup - Just nearing 7 yrs younger than either your 1967 or my 1977 boat! :socool:

BTW - That's real nice looken glass Owens ya gots dere! I used to work on the wood Owens in the 60's at boaryards in LI, NY. They and Chris Craft were the leaders for pleasure craft back when... in southern most New England, that is. Don't know what boat make(s) were leaders in the rest of our nation... during 1960's thru mid 70's.

Well, since we do video, here's a very short piece we did while on the hook in Friday Harbor a week after we bought her. Almost a year and a half ago now...
