Hi Ralph,

Are you near Vancouver? Both Dan Pease and a new member, Keith Olive have Horizons. Have you posted pics of you and your boat in the photo gallery? I invite you to do so. Yesterday I spent 3hrs in 3' seas getting home to pick up my wife Christine at the ferry today. Very little wound up on the floor but it was tiring.*

Hi eric,

We live on the east coast & sail out of shediac newbrunswick.

Thank you i tried to post yesterday & will try again .,At the present i am looking for* a flybridge steering cable its the original

and it broke. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a rolling ride eric,my wife & i had one of those last summer, sea on the

stern about the same* 5 foot sea 20 gusting to 25 knots.we were inside as the cable

for the flybridge was broken. look forward to next season with another cable.

One of my favorite engines has 47hp. What is the engine you have?

willard,

It's 36hp at 3000rpm. It can be run faster and develop more power (even 50hp) but the Perkins in our Willard boats are rated for 36hp at 3000rpm. If you have the original pitch on your prop (14") top rpm will be only 2750 to 2800rpm and at that engine speed your Perkins will only develop 31 to 33hp. 13" of pitch should deliver very close to 3000rpm. You should be propped to 3000rpm.

Eric
